§ 62. Mr. A. T. DAVIESasked the Secretary of State for Air whether, in view of the importance of the findings of the Civil Air Transport. Subsidies Committee, the Government will publish the evidence and proceedings?
§ Sir S. HOAREI regret that I do not think that, even if it were possible, it would be advisable to publish the evidence given before the Civil Air Transport Subsidies Committee. Much of this evidence was confidential, and, moreover, the record kept of the evidence is not in a form which would permit of its publication. Several of the witnesses gave their evidence on the understanding that it would be treated as confidential. Consequently, no shorthand note was taken.
