HC Deb 04 July 1923 vol 166 c426
42. Mr. HARDIE

asked, the Minister of Health if he is aware that the Glasgow Corporation has agreed to pay £6,292 for 6½ acres of ground at Langlands Road, Govan, and that the owner of these acres only contributed to the corporation on a valuation of £11 per year; and whether, in future purchases of ground for housing, he will bring in legislation to regulate the price on the rates paid?

Captain ELLIOT (Parliamentary Under-Secretary for Health, Scotland)

I am informed that the facts are as stated in the first part of the question. I am not in a position to give an undertaking in the sense of the last part of the question.
