HC Deb 26 July 1922 vol 157 c444
27. Dr. M'DONALD

asked the Minister of Health if, in view of the fact that large quantities of arsenic can be obtained from chemists by individuals merely signing a poison hook, he will take steps to discontinue this practice?

Sir A. MOND

The sale of arsenic is governed by Sections 1 and 2 of the Arsenic Act, 1851, and by Section 17 of the Pharmacy Act, 1868. It would require further legislation, which will be considered, to deal with the point raised by the hon. Member.
