§ Sir A. MONDI am satisfied from inquiries that have been made that cocaine is essential to the medical profession, particularly in ophthalmic surgery and laryngology. As regards dental surgery, although dental surgeons are not unanimous, there are many who regard cocaine as essential for certain dental operations.
