§ 57. Mr. A. HERBERTasked the Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether Bulgaria has demanded an international inquiry into the condition of her Greek, Jugo-Slav, and Rumanian frontiers; and if, in the interests of justice, such an inquiry will be granted?
Mr. HARMSWORTHThe Bulgarian Government appealed to the League of Nations on this question, and the Council have accepted a resolution noting the declarations made by the Rumanian, Greek and Serbian representatives as to the pacific intentions of t heir respective Governments, and expressing the hope for a satisfactory conclusion to the direct negotiations between all the parties which are now in progress. The Council requested to be informed at their next meeting of the results obtained, and placed themselves at the disposal of tie Governments concerned if required. A copy of the resolution will be placed in the Library of the House in accordance with the usual practice.
