HC Deb 24 July 1922 vol 157 cc35-6
43. Lieut.-Colonel MURRAY

asked the Prime Minister whether he has any information to give to the House with regard to the suggestions that have been made as to a moratorium to Germany and the establishment of control over German finances?

Sir R. HORNE

I am not in a position to make any further statement on this matter at the moment.

Lieut.-Colonel MURRAY

Has the right hon. Gentleman seen the report that Germany has agreed to allow control of her finances on the understanding that a moratorium is given?

Sir R. HORNE

Yes but I am sure that my hon. and gallant Friend realises that decisions upon that matter cannot be taken by one country alone.
