HC Deb 29 March 1920 vol 127 c856
22. Sir S. BENN

asked the Minister of Transport if any steps have been taken in Ireland towards carrying out any of the suggestions made in the Report of the Select Committee on Transport submitted to the House in November, 1918?

Sir E. GEDDES

As the hon. Member is no doubt aware, a separate branch of the Ministry has been set up in Dublin to deal with matters relating to Ireland. The Irish branch has under consideration a number of applications for financial assistance towards new or improved facilities, including a large number of the most important proposals specified in the Select Committee's Report. Expert inquiries will be proceeded with as speedily as possible.
