HC Deb 26 February 1920 vol 125 cc1882-3
13. Lieut.-Commander KENWORTHY

asked the Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if he is aware that an alleged account of the findings of the Inter-Allied Committee of Inquiry into the Greek atrocities at Smyrna has been published in certain Continental journals and in at least one newspaper published in this country; whether the Official Report of this Committee is in the hands of the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, and when will it be made available for Members of Parliament?

Sir H. GREENWOOD

I am aware that an alleged account of the findings of the Committee of Inquiry has been published in the Press, but, as the Report was not addressed specially to His Majesty's Government but to the Allied Governments, it can only be published officially by agreement between them.

Lieut.-Commander KENWORTHY

In view of the great importance of his question, will the right hon. Gentleman ask his Department to make representations that this Report should be made available to Members of this House?

Sir H. GREENWOOD

I will convey to the proper authority the wish of the hon. and gallant Gentleman.
