HC Deb 19 February 1920 vol 125 cc1040-1
56. Major PRESCOTT

asked the Prime Minister whether he is in a position to announce a decision with regard to the construction of the proposed Channel Tunnel?

The PRIME MINISTER

The reports of the experts have now been received and are under consideration, but I am not yet in a position to make an announcement.

Sir ARTHUR FELL

If I put a question down for this day week, will the Prime Minister say whether he expects to be in a position then to give a definite reply?

The PRIME MINISTER

The Peace Conference is still sitting, and I shall be glad if the hon. Gentleman will allow me a little more time.
