HC Deb 17 November 1919 vol 121 c602
39. Mr. HURD

asked the Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether, in view of the cold weather and the scarcity of food in Petrograd, the Foreign Office will arrange by wireless for permission to send a barge with provisions to Petrograd for the use of our prisoners pending their exchange, such provisions being sent from Admiral Cowan's fleet?

Mr. HARMSWORTH

As the hon. Member for East Leeds hopes shortly to meet the representatives of the Soviet Government in Denmark with a view to arranging the release and repatriation of the British prisoners in Russia, I have requested him to raise this question with the Russian delegate.
