HC Deb 06 November 1919 vol 120 c1661
42. Major E. WOOD

asked the Minister of Health how many houses had now been completed under the provisions of the Housing Act?

Dr. ADDISON

The returns up to Saturday last show that local authorities and public utility societies in England and Wales have submitted detailed plans for 40,758 houses, of which 31,101 have been approved. These include a large number of types which will he repeated as schemes develop. Detailed information as to the number of houses which have been completed and are fit for immediate occupation is not available, but I am aware of a few cases where the houses have been completed and are occupied.
