HC Deb 21 July 1919 vol 118 c894
64. Mr. HIGHAM

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if he is aware that the War Trade Departments are not permitting the export of dog biscuits; that biscuits for human consumption may be exported without permits; and, in view of the fact that a reasonable supply of cereal matter for the manufacture of dog biscuits is now existent, can steps be taken to dispense with this restriction?

Sir A. GEDDES

I have been asked to reply. In view of an improvement in the supply of both cereal feeding stuffs and meat, the restrictions previously in force on the exportation of dog biscuits have been relaxed since the early part of this month, and these biscuits can now be shipped without licence to all countries except those with which trading relations have not yet been resumed.
