HC Deb 14 April 1919 vol 114 c2484
39. Sir PARK GOFF

asked the First Commissioner of Works whether he has further considered the change of site of the cab shelter in New Palace Yard or the advisability of removing it altogether; and what course has he decided to adopt?

The FIRST COMMISSIONER of WORKS (Sir Alfred Mond)

I have further considered the question of the cab shelter in New Palace Yard. After consideration of the whole circumstances, I propose to remove the shelter, and to provide in the vaults of Palace Yard a cabman's shelter which will remain available provided an efficient service of cabs for Members of the House of Commons is maintained.
