HC Deb 10 April 1919 vol 114 c2201
25. Sir S. ROBERTS

asked the First Commissioner of Works what was the original estimate for the restoration of Westminster Hall; how much has already been spent and how much more it is estimated will have to be spent; and when it is expected the work will be complete?

The FIRST COMMISSIONER of WORKS (Sir A. Mond)

The original estimate for the repair of the roof trusses of Westminster Hall was £60,000; of this amount £39,000 has been expended to date. The total increase on the original estimate due to War conditions is being determined, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed in May, 1921.
