HC Deb 12 November 1918 vol 110 cc2476-7
27. Mr. COTTON

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War why the discharge from the Army is being delayed of Private W. W. Lee, No. 339549, Army Service Corps, Mechanical Transport, who was invalided from France, and, after being in hospital at Halifax, Norwood, and Croydon, has again been admitted to hospital in this country; and whether this man is now totally unfit for military service?

Mr. MACPHERSON

I am afraid my hon. Friend is misinformed. Private Lee is fit for military service in category B2, and I regret therefore that his discharge on medical grounds cannot be sanctioned.

Mr. COTTON

Is the right hon Gentleman aware that this man is again in hospital now?

Mr. MACPHERSON

All I know is that he is fit for military service in category B2.
