HC Deb 13 May 1918 vol 106 c39
72. Mr. PONSONBY

asked the Joint Patronage Secretary to the Treasury whether Lord Denbigh is employed by the War Aims Committee; and, if so, whether he receives any salary?

Captain GUEST (Joint Parliamentary Secretary to the Treasury)

Lord Denbigh has rendered valuable service to the War Aims Committee in a voluntary capacity.

Mr. PONSONBY

May I ask whether the Government paid for his magic-lantern and other paraphernalia?

Captain GUEST

The answer is quite conclusive.

Mr. SNOWDEN

Can the hon. and gallant Gentleman say whether Lord Denbigh has any post at the War Office; if not, why does he wear military uniform; and does he give these lectures in uniform?

Captain GUEST

That question can be directed to the War Office.
