§ The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the ADMIRALTY (Dr. Macnamara)The general question referred to has not been settled, but meanwhile the case of temporary clerks who were in receipt of rates in excess of the old minimum rates have been considered on their merits, and rises in excess of the revised minimum have been granted in a considerable number of cases.
