Mr. NOEL BUXTONasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether his attention has been drawn to the statement of the American Minister in Sofia to the effect that the American Government had let it be understood that it would not countenance Italy's claim to Dalmatia; whether, to his knowledge, this statement voices the opinion of the American Government; and whether it meets with the approval of His Majesty's Government?
Mr. BALFOURThe American Minister in Sofia is alleged to have made such a statement in a Press interview, but I am unaware whether the allegation is correct.
