HC Deb 25 June 1918 vol 107 cc890-1
54. Brigadier-General McCALMONT

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he is aware of the unsatisfactory-service supplied by the Giant's Causeway and Portrush Electric Tramway since it has come under Government control; whether he is aware that it is now impossible to travel from the Causeway to Portrush and back, a journey of about seventy-five minutes each way, in a day; and whether, in view of the rise in wages and in fares, he will take steps to ensure that a service is maintained that will meet the reasonable requirements of residents?

The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the BOARD of TRADE (Mr. Wardle)

I understand that a revised service will be brought into operation on the 1st July which will, I hope, be found to be more convenient than the present service.
