HC Deb 21 February 1918 vol 103 c925
23. Captain SHEEHAN

asked the Chief Secretary whether, with a view to coordinating policy and securing uniform effort in regard to the housing of the working classes in the cities and towns of Ireland after the War, he will consider the advisability of summoning a national conference, representative of all the interests involved, at an early date to consider and discuss the question in its relation to national welfare and progress?

Mr. DUKE

Information as to the housing of the working classes in cities and towns in Ireland is being carefully collected by the Local Government Board. I hope to circulate a Report on the subject. I will consider whether the hon. Member's suggestion is practicable when the Report has been published.
