HC Deb 23 April 1918 vol 105 c832
41. Mr. BUTCHER

asked the Minister of National Service whether, having regard to the complexity of the new Military Service Act, he will at the earliest possible date issue a memorandum explaining as simply as possible the effect of the Act, the alterations effected by it, and the intentions of the Government, as announced during the Debate in the House, in regard to changes in the tribunals and other matters to be dealt with by Orders in Council or Regulations?

The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the MINISTRY of NATIONAL SERVICE (Mr. Beck)

I am happy to inform, my hon. Friend that the Minister of National Service is having a memorandum prepared on the lines suggested, which will shortly be issued. Copies will be placed in the Library of both Houses of Parliament.
