HC Deb 15 April 1918 vol 105 c34
48. Mr. LYNCH

asked the Prime Minister whether he has made inquiries through the representatives of Australia and South Africa in order to ascertain in what degree the military contribution of those Dominions has been lessened by reason of the objection to the principles and symbols of Imperialism; and whether, in view of the urgency of the situation, he will announce to the Dominions the abolition in all State documents in regard to them of the terms "Empire," "Imperial," and all that applies military domination proceeding from a central authority?

Mr. BONAR LAW

The answer is in the negative.
