HC Deb 30 March 1917 vol 92 c767
53. Mr. FIELD

asked the Financial Secretary to the War Office whether he will consider the possibility of extending the payment of the temporary increase of wages to employés at Dublin, such as clerks and foremen, who have not gained in any way by the recent temporary increase?

Mr. FORSTER

I think the hon. Member has been misinformed. Clerks on their minimum rate, and also foremen, have benefited from the recent temporary increases. As regards the other classes, I must refer him to my reply to the hon. Member for the Harbour Division of Dublin on Wednesday last.
