HC Deb 15 March 1917 vol 91 c1263
25. Mr. BYRNE

asked the Chief Secretary for Ireland if he is aware of the scarcity of employment in Dublin; if he will recommend as to the advisability of establishing a Government dockyard at the North or South Wall; and if he will say how the Government propose to deal with unemployment in Ireland?

Mr. DUKE

So far as I am aware there is no scarcity of employment for any able-bodied men in Dublin, and this especially applies to men of the engineering trades.
