HC Deb 26 April 1917 vol 92 cc2587-8
8. Mr. O'LEARY

asked the Chief Secretary whether he is aware that the facilities for landing sea sand and fish at Trafrask, in the parish of Adrigole, county Cork, are altogether inadequate, even for small rowing boats; and whether he will urge on the Congested Districts Board the necessity of constructing, or else giving a grant to construct a suitable pier, and thus aid the sand raising and fishing industries in that locality?

Mr. DUKE

I am making inquiries in regard to this matter.

10. Mr. BOLAND

asked the Chief Secretary whether he is now in a position to state whether the restrictions on the export of fish from Caher[...]iveen imposed by the railway company on fish merchants will be withdrawn; and will the Irish fish merchants be treated at least as fairly as their Scottish competitors?

Mr. DUKE

I am taking steps to ascertain whether what is desired can be done.
