HC Deb 16 November 1916 vol 87 cc991-2
43. Mr. DEVLIN

asked the Chief Secretary whether he will use his influence to ensure that the vacancy on the Board of Education in Ireland shall be filled by the appointment of a direct representative of the Irish national teachers?

Mr. DUKE

The vacancy to which the hon. Member refers is caused by the death of a representative of the teachers. I hope it may be practicable to fill it by the appointment of another such representative.
