HC Deb 18 May 1916 vol 82 c1636
32. Mr. PETO

asked the Minister of Munitions whether he has been able to-secure any relaxation in the Regulations made by the Central Control Board (Liquor Traffic) for the county of Wilts, which operate as a practical prohibition of beer to the agricultural labourers?

Dr. ADDISON

I am informed that the Control Board have taken steps to obtain a Report upon the working of the Order in question, and that this Report will receive careful consideration. Meanwhile, I must not be taken as accepting the hon. Member's description of the effect of the Order.

Mr. PETO

What steps are being taken to give effect to the pledge of the Minister of Munitions that people should not suffer by any action taken by the Control Board?

Dr. ADDISON

Perhaps the hon. Member will give me particulars of any case that he has in mind.
