asked the President of the Board of Trade whether the firm of Lamport and Holt are still carryin the United States mails and cargoes of refrigerated beef from Buenos Ayres to New York; and, if so, in view of the necessity for shipping to supply the food requirements of this country, whether he proposes to take any steps to commandeer these boats for the service of British requirements?
