HC Deb 14 March 1916 vol 80 cc1886-7
95. Mr. G. TERRELL

asked the Minister of Munitions if he was in a position to give the figures of the total cost to date of the new Government munitions factories, and the total output in value of the munitions which have been obtained therefrom?

Mr. LLOYD GEORGE

It would not be in the public interest to give any of the figures asked for in the question.

96. Mr. WATT

asked the Minister of Munitions whether the firm of engineers originally engaged to carry out the work on the largest munitions factory in Scotland has been dismissed; if so, what were the terms of payment arranged on their departure; and will he say the name of the firm installed in their place?

Mr. LLOYD GEORGE

Certain changes have been made in the arrangements for the supervision of construction work at the factory to which, presumably, my hon. Friend refers, but it would not be in the public interest to enter into details.
