§ 56. Sir WILLIAM BULLasked the Prime Minister if he is prepared to take early steps to bring the operations of the Central Control Board (Liquor Traffic) under the control of Parliament?
§ Sir STEPHEN COLLINSBefore the right hon. Gentleman answers that question, may I ask him whether it is not a fact that the restrictions imposed by the Board have conduced very much to the lessening of drinking in the restricted areas, and have also been the cause of speeding up the supply of munitions?
§ Mr. LLOYD GEORGEI would refer the hon. Member to the answer which I gave on this subject to the hon. Member for York on the 14th December, 1915. On the whole, I agree with my hon. Friend (Sir S. Collins).
