HC Deb 01 June 1916 vol 82 c2898
Mr. ROWLANDS

(by Private Notice) asked the Under-Secretary of State for War whether he could see his way to suggest to the local tribunals the desirability of impressing on all those who are exempted for a short or long period the importance of joining the local Volunteer Corps with a view of obtaining an elementary knowledge of military drill, which would be of advantage to them either when they are called up or in case of grave emergency?

Mr. HAYES FISHER

When another circular is issued to local tribunals by my right hon. Friend the suggestion of the hon. Member will receive careful consideration.
