HC Deb 01 June 1916 vol 82 c2898
119. Mr. CROOKS

asked the Financial Secretary to the War Office whether, in deciding that time-expired men who have already voluntarily re-engaged for the period of the War, should not participate in the scale of bounties recently announced, regard was had to the distinction being drawn between such men and others who left the Service and will now receive a bouny on being compulsorily recalled; and whether he will consider the possibility of treating all time-expired men alike?

The FINANCIAL SECRETARY to the WAR OFFICE (Mr. Forster)

The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. I fear that the decision must be regarded as final.
