HC Deb 31 July 1916 vol 84 cc2054-5
38. Mr. BYRNE

asked whether any difficulty will be placed in the way. of Irish Members desiring to go to' America to collect funds for the relief of the dependants of the persons shot in North King Street?

Mr. SAMUEL

I am not aware that any application for the issue of a pass- port has yet been made. There is no desire to place difficulties in the way of the collection of funds for the benefit of persons who have suffered as a result of the insurrection in Dublin. Any application for a passport would be considered on its merits.
