HC Deb 21 February 1916 vol 80 c431
59. Mr. GEORGE GREENWOOD

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War whether he is aware that officers (temporary) of the Army Pay Department, known as field cashiers, serving at the front, are frequently exposed to shell fire; whether, in the event of a casualty to such an officer so serving, he would come under the Regulations as to pensions in respect of either widows or wounds pension in the same manner as other temporary officers gazetted to combatant units?

The FINANCIAL SECRETARY to the WAR OFFICE (Mr. Forster)

Yes, Sir.
