§ 81. Mr. LOUGHasked the Minister of Munitions what number of businesses altogether the Government has now placed under control; whether a list of the various firms has been laid upon the Table of the House, showing the character of the work they do for the Government; and, if not, whether he will do so?
§ Mr. LLOYD GEORGEThe number of establishments already controlled is 1,002. The War Office are of opinion that it would be detrimental to the national interest to make public the names or localities of the establishments controlled or the character of the work which is done for the Government therein.
§ Mr. BOOTHCan my right hon. Friend say whether these firms have put any obstacle in the way of the Government or whether they are loyally co-operating with his Department?
§ Mr. LLOYD GEORGESpeaking generally, they certainly are working quite loyally and assisting the Department in every way.
