HC Deb 05 July 1915 vol 73 c34
62. Sir E. CORNWALL

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War if he is yet able to make any further statement on the possibility of more effectively utilising the services of the regiments affiliated to the Central Association of Volunteer Training Corps?

Mr. TENNANT

No, Sir, I regret I cannot make any statement at present.

Sir E. CORNWALL

Will my right hon. Friend undertake not to throw cold water on 400,000 Volunteers?

Mr. TENNANT

Yes, Sir.

Sir C. WARNER

Can my right hon. Friend give any hope that there will be some encouragement given as to employing the Volunteers before long?

Mr. TENNANT

Will my hon. Friend be so good as to postpone that question? I should like to have notice of it.
