HC Deb 23 February 1915 vol 70 cc167-8
32. Mr. TYSON WILSON

asked the Financial Secretary to the War Office if he is aware that the carpentry work in connection with the manufacture of aircraft at the Royal Aircraft Factory at South Farnborough is done by piecework; and, if so, whether he has sanctioned this system of doing the delicate and intricate work required in the manufacture of these machines?

Mr. BAKER

Some work in the carpenter's shop at the Royal Aircraft Factory is done by piecework, and I am informed its quality is excellent.
