asked the Secretary to the Treasury whether the Government proposes to take special steps to facilitate the use of alcohol for commercial purposes in order to create favourable conditions for competition with Germany in the production of fine drugs?

So far as can at present be seen, there is no reason to suppose that the facilities available under the existing law are inadequate for this purpose.
