HC Deb 23 February 1915 vol 70 c164
15. Mr. ROWLANDS

asked when the Report of the Departmental Committee on University Education in London may be expected; and whether any further action is contemplated by the Government in regard to the acquisition of the site on the Bedford estate for the headquarters of the university?

The PRESIDENT of the BOARD of EDUCATION (Mr. J. A. Pease)

Largely in consequence of the War, the proceedings of the Departmental Committee are in abeyance, and for the same reason it is impossible for me to make any statement in regard to the acquisition of a site.
