HC Deb 10 February 1915 vol 69 cc570-1
69. Mr. THOMAS

asked the Financial Secretary to the War Office whether he is aware that the men serving as attendants at military hospitals in the St. John's Ambulance Brigade are not allowed underclothes, socks, or boots, neither is any separation allowance granted; and whether, having regard to the work these men perform, and the fact that they are engaged in military requirements, he will take steps to remove this injustice?

Mr. BAKER

All men of the St. John's Ambulance Brigade who are employed in military hospitals are enlisted for the Royal Army Medical Corps, and are treated for pay and allowances, including separation allowance, in all respects as Regular soldiers.
