HC Deb 23 December 1915 vol 77 cc609-10
78. Mr. BUTCHER

asked the Financial Secretary to the War Office whether, in the case of an unmarried officer who dies from illness contracted in the course of, and by reason of, his military duties in this country, and who leaves a mother or other relative dependent on him, an allowance will be granted to such dependant and under what conditions?

Mr. FORSTER

The conditions under which mothers and other relatives of officers may be awarded pensions are stated in the Royal Warrant of the 15th instant, which was published in the newspapers last week. I am sending the hon. and learned Member a copy.
