§ Mr. TENNANTThere have been 1,676 commissions granted from the ranks since mobilisation, and in each case the recipient was serving before the War began. I cannot say how many commissions have been given to those who joined the ranks "for the period of the War." No record has been kept of the number of temporary commissions given from the ranks as distinct from those from other sources.
§ Mr. KELLAWAYIs the right hon. Gentleman aware that there is some feeling amongst non-commissioned officers who are acting as instructors in the Territorial units that they are not given an equal chance with other men in other branches of the Service?
