asked the Prime Minister whether, in view of the serious state of things that is arising in Ireland, the Government have taken, or intend to take, any practical steps to bring about a better understanding among Irishmen of different parties or sections?

The PRIME MINISTER

In face of the serious state of affairs which the War has produced in a large part of the world, the Government feel that they can trust to the good sense and good feeling of Irishmen of all parties and sections to bring about a better understanding in Ireland.
