HC Deb 22 April 1915 vol 71 cc397-8
45. Mr. KING

asked the Prime Minister whether he is aware that, owing to the operation of our electoral law, many soldiers and sailors now serving His Majesty will be disenfranchised at the close of the current year; and whether steps will be taken by which all men whose names were previously on the electoral rolls, or who, but for undertaking duties in the War, would have been entitled to vote at Parliamentary and municipal elections, will be placed upon the registers for 1916?

The PRIME MINISTER

I can only repeat what I have said before, that this question is receiving careful onsideration.
