HC Deb 07 May 1914 vol 62 cc441-2
64. Mr. LLEWELYN WILLIAMS

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, in view of the fact that he was unable to separate the figures of England from those of Wales in his Budget speech, while he was able to give the figures for Scotland and for Ireland, respectively, and that it will be a necessary preliminary to the setting up of a federal system to ascertain the financial relations of England and Wales, he will take immediate steps to obtain separate Returns for and secure the appointment of a Commission to inquire into and report upon the financial relations of the two countries?

Mr. LLOYD GEORGE

I am considering the suggestion of my hon. and learned Friend.
