HC Deb 17 February 1914 vol 58 c764
43. Mr. F. HALL

asked if the site of a school erected by the Cathcart School Board was purchased from the Duke of Montrose; what was the price paid for the land; and when the purchase was completed?

Mr. McKINNON WOOD

I am informed that the answer to the first part of the question is in the negative; that the net price paid for the site was £3,270 17s., in addition to which the Board had to meet the cost of the formation of streets, amounting to £909 15s.; and that the purchase of the land was completed in April, 1908.

Mr. F. HALL

Will the right hon. Gentleman be good enough to send that reply to the Chancellor of the Exchequer?
