HC Deb 23 June 1913 vol 54 c790
58. Mr. GREENE

asked the Postmaster-General whether he could see his way to have the automatic machines for the sale of stamps placed outside the post offices instead of inside, so that stamps might be purchased at any time?

The POSTMASTER-GENERAL (Mr. Herbert Samuel)

I am considering in what places machines can be placed outside post offices without causing obstruction to the traffic and where the expense involved would be justified.
