asked the President of the Board of Education whether those teachers who from special circumstances, such as contributing to the support of aged and invalid parents and lack of means, were unable to accept the Elementary School Teachers (Superannuation) Act, may now be included in the pension scheme on their paying all back contributions with interest?

As the hon. Member will remember, I have asked a Departmental Committee to consider this proposal, amongst others; but the Committee, I understand, are waiting for actuarial evidence and are, therefore, not yet in a position to report.
