asked the Financial Secretary to the War Office, as representing the Secretary of State for India, whether the payment from Indian revenues of £100 a month and travelling expenses to the Under-Secretary of State for India during his visit to India, sanctioned on 30th July last by the Secretary of State and the Council of India, was granted by the Council of India unanimously or not; and, if not, what was the proportion of votes for and against the Grant and the names of the Members, respectively, who voted for and against it?
