HC Deb 20 November 1912 vol 44 cc294-5
70. Captain FABER

asked whether consumption is a notifiable disease?

Mr. BURNS

Pulmonary tuberculosis is a notifiable disease throughout England and Wales.

Captain FABER

If it is a notifiable disease and therefore catching, how does it happen that persons suffering from it can be found in Salisbury Hospital and other hospitals with patients suffering from other diseases to whom it might be communicated?

Mr. BURNS

If the hon. Member will give me the facts I will look into them.

Captain FABER

I will do so. I have them.
